Western Food at a LOW rate! Yummy!

Yesterday afternoon, my director suddenly got the mood to go out with us for lunch. Since he didn't mind driving, we suggested to visit a restaurant that serves Western Food at an affordable rate and was highly recommended by our colleague with superb remarks.

Ok...it is not located in a really posh environment but the restaurant is somehow elegant in its own way although situated in a shophouse.

Astons Specialties

Upon entering this reastaurant, we felt cozy at once. With everyone's stomach grumbling...especially mine (pardon a pregnant lady for screaming hungry), we immediately look at the menu and start ordering. Well, the waiting time is considerably average, about 15-20 mins but perhaps we were all too hungry, thus we felt like the food took forever to reach our seats...

The moment our orders arrived, we were astonished. The portion looks huge for the price it marks! As i ordered "Hickory BBQ Chicken" with 2 side-dishes of 'BBQ Beans' and 'Mashed Potato', the serving looked too much for price of S$6.50! S$6.50 only! (I did not bring my camera, thus i didn't managed to snap a shot of my food). That's not all, my colleague actually ordered "Double Up Chicken" which in fact means 2 chicken steaks with any choice of type found in the menu, along with 2 side-dishes with a price of just S$10.90! This is just so unbelievable!

All in all, I really like the price and the food in Aston Specialties, and I won't hesitate to re-visit again whenever i have any craving for Western Food!

It is extremely hard to find a place where it is a western restaurant and yet serves western food at an affordable rate, especially at a range of S$6.50-$10.90 (excluding Beef). Hence, I strongly recommend those who likes western food and yet doesn't want to spend a bomb to visit Aston Specialties.
