Another Visit to the Gyne

Today is my another visit to the Gyne. This time, my gyne said he wanted to check my baby's neck. So...as usual, ultrasound scan was taken.

Now, this scan is not like previous scans...Previously, I could only see a sac with nothing else, but this time, i can see the shape of my baby! At first, i couldn't make out what it is, but after my gyne explained to me, i can full grasp the look of the scan. What's more, my baby inside me lifted his/her hands during the scan! It was extremely amazing and fantastic! To think my stomach looks normal (ok, maybe slightly bigger now) but yet a baby is inside me, growing! Oh gosh~

Anyway, after the scan, my gyne asked me if i wanted to do a Oscar test. Don't think otherwise..Oscar test is not about entertainment stuff, lol....it's a test for baby's possibilty of contracting Down Syndrome. Well, I am very very concern about my baby, therefore, i took the test. This test is actually very simple. Gyne just need to take your blood and in a week's time, the result will be out. What's weird is that, my gyne told me it was hard to extract blood from me since my veins are not really visible. He has to beat on my hand for god knows how many times before he was willing to plug that needle into me.

It's really been long since I last see my own blood, especially in such a volume of it...kinda shocked in fact...lol. It wasn't cheap to take this test, but for the sake of my baby, i guess there's no choice after all.

Oh well, let's hope when my gyne calls me next week after the result is out, it will be good news....
